July: Summer Camps 2007!
In June and July, kids of Grades 1 through 9 can enjoy a week of learning and discovery at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. As environmental detectives, kids hike and canoe along the shores of the Rhode River, collect and investigate plankton, go fishing, catch and study blue crabs, and learn what's inside an oyster bar community. With the many hands-on science activities, crafts and games, this is a unique opportunity to explore local ecosystems.
WARNING: You may get muddy!
Download the SERC Summer Camp Flyer (pdf) to learn more about the four individual day camps. For more information, contact Jane Holly at SERC at (301) 238-1815 or by e-mail at hollyj@si.edu.
