Student Training in Aquatic Research (STAR) is a program for students in Grades 9-12 in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Students develop their own research projects to study part of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, then do the field sampling and data analysis, and publish their results. Watch a five-minute introduction to the program, download the STAR brochure (pdf), or read more about STAR.

Get on board! Join the STAR program!

STAR is a great program to teach students how to carry out environmental research and to bring an interdisciplinary project into the classroom. We are currently accepting participants for the 2006-2007 and 2006-2007 school years. Learn more about joining the STAR program!
