Our Canoe program was crippled during a severe storm in June, 2008.All but two of our canoes were damaged beyond repair and our canoe shed was destroyed.

Our guided canoe tours of the Rhode River and its tributaries, offered in english and spanish, are a very popular feature of the SERC public outreach program. When news spread that we had to cancel all canoe tours until our canoes could be replaced, the local community responded. Articles appeared in local newspapers, and our local community offered donations to help us get back up and running.
