Ceratium strictum

This long, thin dinoflagellate is frequently considered to be closely related to C. extensum. This species length lies within the total range of lengths for C. extensum, 500-1200µ. It is narrower. The right antapical horn is short and needle-like. The left has been broken and the majority of the horn is missing. C. strictum has a slight bend in the apical horn.
