Prorocentrum micans

Cells are large, ovoid and compressed. It is composed of 2 valves, which are punctate. Photo on left illustrates the puncti and the arrangement on the valves. Length 40-50µ, width 25-33µ. There are two flagella that undulate in different directions. (Campbell)
