Centritractus belanophorus

The cells of this green algae are cylindrical, straight or slightly curved, with long slender spines at each pole. Prefers an acid environment. Cells 8-15u in diameter and up to 40u in length. Sample collected from Crescent Lake area on the St. John's River.
