Phacus helikoides

This species of Phacus is twisted throughout its entire length. It can be distinguished from
P. torta by the bilobed, anterior narrowing. It has one large circular paramylon body. It measures 39-54µ wide and up to 120µ long. Sample was collected in the outflow pond of Georgia Pacific on the St. John's River, FL.
