Streptotheca thamensis syn Streptotheca tamesis, Helicotheca tamesis

Flat cells usually found twisted so that the chains are spiral. Cells range from 60-98 microns long. The average total volume is 3.04 x 10⁵ cubic microns. Thisis a warm water to temperate species. Sample collected in plankton net tow off the east coast of Florida.
