Longipedia americana nauplii

This is the nauplii of a harpactacoid copepod, and is often confused with barnacle larvae.
The sample on the left came from the waters off Carrie Bow Cay in Belize, the one on the right came from a net tow in the mid-Chesapeake Bay area.
