Dinophysis spp (okamurai ? )

This was originally identified as D. punctata, but has probably been renamed. It measures 21.6um wide, 32.5um long, although it has been observed at 40-50µ long. The total volume averages 7939.43. It is usually found in higher saline waters, but can live in estuarine water as well. This sample was collected in the lower Chesapeake Bay near Smith Island.
