Oxyphysis oxytoxoides

This species is common in many waters but often overlooked; probably misidentified as a Oxytoxum. Generally heterotrophic. See Tomas in Taxonomic References. Sample was collected from whole water from St. Mary's river in Southern Maryland in October 2002. Salinity was high due to long drought; 17ppt.
