Scenedesmus quadricauda v. Westii

This species is usually found with 4-8 broadly rounded, ovate cells. Cells average 5-8µ in diameter and 10-22µ long. Its spines are relatively short.  Sample collected from Back River, Baltimore, MD in June 2003.
