Staurastrum leptocladium (?)

This is most likely S.leptocladium, although the apical spines that are a characteristic of the species are not totally visible in this photo. The cells average 71 - 95µ long with processes and 67- 105µ in width. Sample collected from Back River near Baltimore, MD.
