This summer I studied the invasion of wetland species Phragmites australis in Chesapeake Bay marshes. My research focused on the relationship between the rate of increase of Phragmites and the amount of disturbance due to urbanization. Using aerial photo interpretation techniques, I was able to conduct preliminary research which others will build on. After this upcoming final year of undergraduate school, I plan to pursue a Masters degree in ecology or natural resources and continue working on the east coast.
