|abstract||In April 1970, the U.S. Geological Survey began a program of continuously recording water temperature, specific conductance, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, pH, tide stage, solar radiation, wind direction, and wind velocity. These analog data were recorded by a water-quality monitor approximately 3.6 km inside the 4.8 km long Rhode River at the end of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center dock. This Excel file contains daily data from 1970 - 1978 that were originally published in 3 publications. The raw hourly data can be found on strip charts.|
